Trip tips around Kutná Hora and Čáslav

Bojmany lies in the Kutná Hora region between Kutná Hora and Čáslav, close to the Iron Mountains. Kutná Hora is about 13 km away, Čáslav 9 km. Here are a few tips for trips from the cottage.

  Kutná Hora

  Historic centre, St Barbara's Church and Sedlec (UNESCO), the ossuary.

  A royal mining town famous for its silver. Besides St Barbara's Church, don't miss the Italian Court, Hrádek with the Czech Museum of Silver and a medieval mine, and the Cathedral of the Assumption in Sedlec.

  Kačina Château

  One of the most important Empire-style buildings in the country, with a large park.

  The château houses the National Museum of Agriculture and is surrounded by a large English-style park for walks.

  Žleby Château

  A romantic château with a weapons collection, the Doubrava river in the park and a deer park with white deer.

  Rebuilt in the Romantic style, the château stands on a rock above the Doubrava, the same river that flows through Bojmany.

  Čáslav

  A historic town with the tower of the Church of St Peter and Paul, a museum and an outdoor swimming pool.

  The town has the Dusík Theatre and a town museum, and an outdoor pool in summer. It is the nearest town to Bojmany.

  Lichnice Castle

  Castle ruins above Třemošnice in the Iron Mountains with views over the Elbe lowlands. A nature trail to the Lovětín gorge starts below the castle.

  A wild rocky valley near Chotěboř with rapids, waterfalls and potholes. A popular walking route along the river.

  A reservoir in the Iron Mountains with a beach, swimming and boat hire, overlooked by the ruins of Oheb Castle.

Right in Bojmany

The Doubrava river flows through the village, with a weir and a footbridge into the deer park and pleasant walks along the water. For children there is a playground in Bojmany with a swing, a roundabout, a sandpit and workout bars.
